Troubleshooting

Fixes for sign-in, connection, limit and data problems.

Signing in#

You see Do this
"This connection request expired" Start connecting again from your app; a request waits ten minutes.
Asked for an invite code after signing in Your account hasn't joined the beta. Open your invite link, signed in with the invited email. See access.
"Only the invited email can use this code" Sign in (or create the account) with the exact email the invite was made for.
The browser never opens Copy the sign-in link your app prints into a browser, or reconnect from the app's MCP settings.
Asked to sign in again The connection is older than 90 days or was disconnected. Sign in and choose Allow.

Connecting#

You see Do this
401 / "needs authentication" Sign in again from the app (Claude Code: /mcp → Authenticate; Codex: codex mcp login mr-market).
503 / "temporarily unavailable" The research server is briefly offline. Wait a few minutes; you don't need to sign in again.
The app shows no tools Restart the app after adding the server, and check the address is exactly https://mrmarket.fyi/mcp.
ChatGPT doesn't use it Turn the connector on for this chat: + → More → Developer mode.

Asking#

You see Do this
"Too many requests" Wait a minute, or until midnight UTC for the daily allowance.
"Today's analyst-estimate allowance is used up" Estimates are limited; reported earnings (get_market_data dataset=earnings) still work.
"not in the saved universe" Mr. Market doesn't have statements for that company. Filings and insider trades may still work.
"Several issuers list …" Ask again with the company's CIK, which the message lists.
The answer says it was trimmed Ask for fewer periods or rows, or a narrower question.
A number looks wrong Open the cited filing. If it still looks wrong, it may be a company amendment or an extraction issue; tell the person who invited you.

Remove Mr. Market from an app#

App How
Claude Settings → Connectors → Mr. Market → Remove
Claude Code claude mcp remove mr-market --scope user
Codex codex mcp remove mr-market
ChatGPT Settings → Apps & Connectors → Mr. Market → Delete
Cursor, VS Code, others Delete the mr-market entry from the MCP config

Then disconnect it in Account so the credential stops working too.
