# Claude (web and desktop)

Add Mr. Market as a custom connector in claude.ai or the Claude desktop app.

Works in claude.ai and the Claude desktop app on Mac and Windows. Custom connectors depend on your Claude plan; on
Team and Enterprise plans an owner may need to add the connector first.

## Add the connector

1. Open **Settings → Connectors** and choose **Add custom connector**.
2. Name it **Mr. Market** and paste this address:

   ```text
   https://mrmarket.fyi/mcp
   ```

3. Choose **Add**, then **Connect**. Mr. Market's sign-in opens in your browser. Sign in and choose **Allow**.

You're back in Claude with Mr. Market listed as connected.

## Use it in a chat

- In a new chat, open the **+** menu (or the tools menu) and make sure **Mr. Market** is switched on.
- Ask normally. The first time, say *using mr-market* so Claude picks the right tools.
- Claude may ask before using a tool. Every Mr. Market tool only reads, so **Always allow** is safe.

> **Tip: make it automatic.** Turn on Memory in Claude, then send: *"Always use the Mr. Market connector when I ask
> about a US company's financials, filings, earnings calls, ownership or market data. Save this to memory."*

## Workflows from the + menu

Mr. Market's [skills](https://docs.mrmarket.fyi/skills.md) appear as prompts. In a chat, open **+** → **Add from Mr. Market** and pick one, such
as *Company snapshot*. Fill in the company and send.

## In a Claude Project

Add this to the project's instructions so every chat in it uses Mr. Market the same way:

```text
Use the Mr. Market connector for US company data. Cite every number with its period and filing.
Use tables for multi-period numbers. Say "not reported" instead of estimating a missing value.
```

## Disconnect

Remove it in **Settings → Connectors**, and disconnect it in [Account](https://mrmarket.fyi/account) on Mr. Market.
